Sajad Shirali-Shahreza
Assistant Professor · Computer Engineering Department, Amirkabir University of Technology, Tehran, IRAN
I am Sajad-Shirali Shahreza. I started working as an assistant professor at Software Engineering group of the Department of Computer Engineering, Amirkabir University of Technology, Tehran, IRAN. My main research domain is Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) and my goal is to design systems that can be used by everyone (i.e., Usability 4 All). Before that I worked as an Software Engineer at Google Canada.
I received my Ph.D. in Computer Science in 2017 from Department of Computer Science, University of Toronto, Toronto, Canada. My PhD supervisors were Prof. Yashar Ganjali and Prof. Ravin Balakrishnan. My PhD thesis title is FleXight: Flexible Information Channel for Software-Defined Networking. After completing my PhD, I worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Department of Computer Science, University of Toronto, under supervision of Prof. Gerald Penn.
I earned my MSc in Software Engineering from Computer Engineering Department, Sharif University of Technology in September 2007. My MS project title is "JABER, A Persian Human Interactive Proof System" and my supervisor was Prof. Movaghar. You can find more abuot this projcet on its site: www.hip.ir. After that, I was a Ph.D candidate in Software Engineering at Computer Engineering Department, Sharif University of Technology, from September 2007 till May 2010. My supervisor was Dr. Abolhassani. I received my Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Software Engineering (Computer Engineering) from Computer Engineering Department of Sharif University of Technology in 2006. My BS project was "Persian Printed Text Page Segmentation" which was done under supervision of Dr. Manzuri.
